Required Devops Team Lead

As a Devops Team Lead, youll join our R&D center in TLV. Youll be leading a team of developers and devops engineers, directly contributing to our product by using cutting-edge technologies. Youll take a critical part in our mission to shape the future of transportation, affecting tens of thousands of riders daily worldwide.
Production Infrastructure DevOps Team is responsible for managing and optimizing a large-scale environment spanning multiple Kubernetes clusters, AWS accounts, and thousands of serverless functions, while continuously architecting new solutions. As a hands-on lead, youll guide a skilled engineering team and directly drive reliability, scalability, and efficiency at global scale.
What Youll Do:
Take full technical ownership of the Production Infrastructure Team, leading efforts to manage and optimize a large-scale production environment with tens of Kubernetes clusters, thousands of Lambda functions, and spanning across tens of AWS accounts.
Investigate and resolve complex production issues while driving research and implementation of architectural improvements to ensure scalability and reliability.
Lead innovative projects such as automating Kubernetes fleet management, designing high-availability architectures, implementing service mesh capabilities, and building automated canary mechanisms.
Address unique challenges of operating at high scale in AWS, leveraging a modern tech stack including AWS services (EKS, Lambda, VPC, RDS, Elasticache, S3, KMS, SQS), Helm, ArgoCD, Gitlab CI, Terraform, Python, Go, and observability tools like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus and Grafana.
Recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
Act as a hands-on leader, driving design, coding, and delivery of critical features and solutions to production.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of production systems and support the scaling of services across the company.

Requirements:
Hands on! Not afraid of tech challenges.
B.Sc. Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in managing and operating Kubernetes clusters in production or developing system tools for Kubernetes. A deep understanding of Kubernetes is required.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in Devops.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in one of the clouds: AWS, GCP, Azure
1+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack development in a product development role (not scripting).
Experience with distributed systems and micro-services environments.
Experience with devops practices, CI/CD pipelines, Observability tools and development workflows.
Hands on! Not afraid of tech challenges.
B.Sc. Computer Science or a related field.
