We're seeking an experienced Sr. PHY system Engineer to manage and develop our testing team for wireless telecom and cloud-based 5G solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with ORAN wireless technology and shape the future of 5G testing. What you'll do:
* Leading PHY activities from feature development to integration.
* Focal point for all PHY and RF -related aspects.
* Defining and writing system -level requirements.
* Continuously optimize and fine-tune PHY layer algorithms to enhance the performance and efficiency of base-station products.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of PHY components with software, Digital Signal Processing ( DSP ), and other subsystems.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the PHY team, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
* Hands-on Lab work.

Requirements:
* At least 5 years of experience in wireless communication/ PHY layer development or integration.
* Good understanding of RX and TX PHY and RF chains.
* Deep understanding of Wireless communication systems.
* Working experience with RF lab TEST equipment
* Solid experience with scripting language (such as MATLAB or Python)
* Good system -level understanding within a multi-disciplinary environment (HW, SW, RFgreenTxtBg!)
* Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English (written and verbal), team player and ability to thrive in a global multi-site environment. Advantages:
* Involvement in research and development projects related to emerging wireless technologies, such as Massive MIMO and beamforming
* Solid knowledge in the physical layer specifications of 4G/5G
* Solid experience with programming languages
* Solid experience with Linux operating system Education B.Sc in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
