Position Summary
The Educational & Travel Program Management Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the design, execution, and continuous improvement of AMHSI's educational travel programs. This role ensures that all logistical, academic, and experiential components align with the school's mission while delivering high-quality and seamless student experiences. The position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for Israel education and experiential learning.
Key Responsibilities
Program Development & Management
Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of all educational travel programs, ensuring alignment with AMHSI's curriculum and educational objectives.
· Collaborate with faculty and educational staff, working closely with the Head of Israel Studies, to integrate classroom learning with travel experiences, ensuring a cohesive and engaging educational journey that aligns with academic goals and provides a meaningful, immersive learning experience.
Maintain high standards of safety, security, and risk management for all travel experiences, working closely with security teams and local authorities.
Oversee program logistics, including transportation, accommodations, site visits, and partnerships with local vendors and service providers.
Develop innovative strategies to enhance student engagement and maximize learning outcomes through experiential education.
Leadership & Team Management
Supervise and mentor a team of program managers fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Provide training and professional development for staff on best practices in educational travel, student engagement, and program facilitation.
Act as the primary point of contact for program-related concerns, problem-solving issues in real-time and ensuring a high level of customer service.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Serve as a key liaison between AMHSI, partner schools, parents, and community organizations, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships.
Collaborate with external partners, including tour providers, educational institutions, and government agencies, to enhance program offerings.
Budget & Operations Management
Oversee the program budget, ensuring cost-effective planning and resource allocation.
Monitor program expenditures and seek opportunities for financial sustainability and efficiency.
Analyze program performance data and provide regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements
BA in Education, Jewish Studies, History, Tourism, or a related field (MA preferred).
At least 4 years of experience in educational program management, travel logistics, or a related field, preferably in an Israel-based or Jewish educational setting.
Proven experience leading teams, managing staff, and developing high-quality educational travel experiences.
Deep understanding of Israel's history, culture, and educational landscape.
Familiarity with experiential and project-based learning methodologies.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in budgeting and operations management.
Fluent in English
