Requirements:

Electronics engineer B.Sc.– a must, M.Sc./P.hd – an advantage
Experience of 3+ years in simulations of communication algorithms in MATLAB/Python
Signal processing familiarity – a must
Knowledge in MATLAB– a must
Familiarity with 5G - an advantage
Familiar with Digital HW (DMA/Interrupts/FPGA/serdes)
Team player with good interpersonal relationships
Innovative and an initiator
Highly proficient in English

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a Senior Physical Layer Algorithm Engineer to join our highly skilled algorithm team, which is responsible for developing and optimizing all of Gilat's modem algorithms and architecture.

What you will do:

Research, design, and implement new satellite modem modules and algorithms, such as channel estimation and correction
AGC
Spread spectrum
Innovate new ways to exploit the satellite channel better
Design for implementation. Optimize the algorithm and reduce complexity to enable realization
Work with system, software, and FPGA engineers to bring your ideas into reality
Test the algorithm's performance in the lab and be part of the integration effort.
Being part of a highly innovative team and working with top professionals in the industry.
