Senior Data Engineer

SportsBiz (SportsBiz.com) is revolutionizing the $100B sports sponsorship industry with DeepSport Solutions, our proprietary analytics and decision-intelligence platform. We empower brands to uncover inefficiencies, optimize spend, and make smarter investments through advanced data science, automation, and intuitive software.

We’re looking for a highly skilled, motivated Senior Data Engineer to help build out the SportsBiz Application Platform from frontend to backend—delivering usable, elegant, scalable tools that shape the future of sports marketing.

SportsBiz's valuation as of Q4 2025 is $25M pre-money. Management is presently engaged in a $5M advanced seed round. With that said, all current team members are compensated through:

* *Equity *+ routine stipends (until fundraising closes, anticipated Q1/Q2)
* *Full salary + bonus + benefits *begin immediately after successful funding

This role is ideal for candidates who are energized by early-stage building and want meaningful ownership and impact.

*Full-Time Responsibilities:*

* Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for the SportsBiz Data Platform including data collection, cleansing, processing and storage using PySpark and *Databricks*.
* Automate data collection, data testing and deployment processes.
* Implement monitoring and logging systems to ensure data collection and enrichment processes run smoothly in production.
* Collaborate with engineering, data science and product around solutions and products.
* Develop and maintain documentation for both pipelines and infrastructure.
* Develop data applications and services using Python aligning with our business needs and technical requirements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide technical guidance and support.

*Qualifications:*

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
* Very strong programming skills in Python
* Advanced SQL skills and ability to transform data in dbt
* Experience with Databricks platform and PySpark for large-scale data processing
* Experience with AWS Cloud infrastructure
* Experience with web scraping, interfacing with APIs, and other data collection methods
* Understanding of ETL/ELT Architecture and Data Warehousing Patterns
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Willingness and ability to learn new skills, tools, and business domains quickly on the job
* Must be highly adaptable with excellent problem-solving skills and able to work with minimal supervision
* Knowledge of recommender engines
* Experience in a startup environment is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 300,000.00₪ - 325,000.00₪ per year
