Qualifications

BSc in Computer Science or equivalent

12+ years of professional software development experience on high-scale cloud services

Experience in server-side development, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and SOLID principles

Independent, capable of making decisions in an ambiguous environment

Hands-on experience in Machine Learning and Data Science

Preferred Qualifications:

Expertise in designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems capable of sustaining rapid growth

Technical leadership experience in high-performing, agile teams

Strong communication skills for cross-group collaboration and effective teamwork

Expertise with modern continuous delivery/deployment systems

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements is required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized

security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Responsibilities

This is a broad cross-team role with high visibility. You will collaborate closely with multiple teams across Microsoft to deliver key customer solutions and the technology to support them.

- Lead end to end design, implementation and delivery of the future architecture for highly scalable, durable, low latency systems.

- Build an effective and agile development organization using industry leading best practices.

- Lead the definition of requirements, KPIs, priorities and planning of engineering deliverables.

- Proven team building experience as well as mentoring and growing team members.
