Software Engineering Team Lead - TLV

About the Job

We are looking for a team lead who brings both managerial and technical skills to lead our team within our trading group.

Your primary focus is your team and the people in it, and we expect you to build a great team with a high-performing culture and values.

The key responsibility for this role is to lead a strong team of ±7 cross-functional engineers, focusing on the trading domains.

The trading domain focuses on the core business of Plus500, ranging from the trading engine itself through the client facing trading apps.

What you’ll do

Continuously inspire and develop your team of engineers.
Evangelize best engineering practices focusing on Agile\Scrum.
Collaborate with other development teams, product managers, UI\UX designers, and others to maintain high levels of visibility, efficiency, and collaboration.
Play a key role in architectural and strategic decisions.
Work with the recruiting team to attract and retain high-quality talent.

Requirements:

Who you are

You know what it takes to build a team, you believe in agile & lean values and you are a servant leader
You have a solid technical background, from the C#\Java service-oriented backend side.
You are also well versed in engineering practices around distributed systems, iterative and incremental development, and what it takes to build a strong engineering culture.
You bring energy, positivity, and drive to the teams you work with. You focus on solutions, and trade-offs based on data and business expertise and bring a can-do approach.
You have managed a team before and have experience in growing and mentoring engineers.

The position is located in the TLV R&D Center.
