Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Scientist to lead complex isolation, purification, and chemical modification activities as part of our R&D programs. This role requires deep expertise in analytical and synthetic chemistry, with the ability to independently design, execute, and drive experimental strategies. The successful candidate will contribute to scientific direction, solve complex technical challenges, and collaborate across teams to advance key projects.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced experimental workflows for isolation and purification of compounds from complex biological and chemical matrices

Drive chemical modification and synthesis efforts to support structural elucidation and downstream applications

Independently plan and execute experiments, analyze results, and provide scientific recommendations impacting project direction

Contribute to experimental design and problem-solving across projects, addressing complex scientific challenges requiring multi-disciplinary approaches

Establish and refine methods, protocols, and best practices (SOPs) to support scalability and reproducibility

Collaborate cross-functionally with analytical, data science, and clinical teams to support program goals

Communicate complex scientific findings clearly to internal stakeholders and contribute to decision-making processes

Mentor junior scientists and provide technical guidance within the team

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Chemistry (preferably Organic Chemistry), Chemical Engineering, or a related field

10+ years of relevant experience (including postdoctoral experience), with strong hands-on and leadership capabilities

Extensive experience in isolation and purification using advanced chromatographic techniques

Strong expertise in LC-MS characterization and structural elucidation

Proven experience in chemical synthesis and modification of small molecules (advantage for polymer or complex systems)

Demonstrated ability to solve complex scientific problems and independently drive projects forward

Experience working in cross-functional environments and influencing scientific direction

Strong analytical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills

Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment.
