We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Legal Counsel Manager to be in our site at Yokneam.

This position is responsible for managing the legal team at Johnson & Johnson MedTech | Electrophysiology Israel (J&J MedTech EP IL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson MedTech | Electrophysiology. The role serves as the main point of contact for the business, providing business partners with strategic legal advice and counsel across all areas of law. This is aimed at furthering the interests of the business while protecting the company’s rights, interests, and reputation.

Duties and responsibilities of this position include:

Managing the legal team at J&J MedTech EP IL with direct reports and supporting global operations for the business;
Advise senior management on strategic matters in Israel
Partnering with colleagues in the Global Legal Organization and outside counsel, as appropriate, to support business opportunities while ensuring compliance with legislation, industry guidelines and internal policies;
Providing strategic proactive and reactive legal advice on a wide range of proposed business initiatives and materials, in the areas of R&D, operations, supply and manufacturing, quality and regulatory affairs, health care compliance, privacy, employment and labor issues, information technology, etc. with regional and global applicability;
Preparing and negotiating complex agreements across functional areas listed above, including MSAs, Consulting Agreements, Supply and Manufacturing, Collaboration Agreements; etc. with regional and global applicability;
Help to implement, with the assistance of external counsel, business strategies in an ethical manner, and in compliance with local and global regulations;
Support the development of innovative partnerships. Implement / Oversee the implementation of new contracting models locally and globally;
Support the businesses in following regional healthcare compliance, anti-bribery policies, and regulations and support the other functions;
Drive & Coordinate litigation globally, as applicable, (e.g. product liability claims and employee liability litigation) in collaboration with colleagues in the GLO and outside counsel;
Engage and lead outside counsel and coordinate legal budgets with the relevant budget holders.
Assisting in litigation and investigations and managing outside counsel relationships, workflow and budget;
Training, educating and advising J&J MedTech EP IL’s business partners on key legal topics globally and leading and serving on project teams and committees to assess and implement special/significant projects supporting the company and/or GLO.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Education or Training: LL.B
Experience: At least 8 years of experience with providing commercial legal advice to a multinational corporate company as an in-house lawyer or an equivalent legal experience from a large law firm.
Managerial Experience – a must
Experience in the Medical Device industry or Healthcare - an advantage.

English of either mother-tongue or mother-tongue level;
Strength in corporate/commercial matters;
Strong Leadership skills;
Knowledge of medical device businesses (products, procedures, business model and industry trends) preferred, or proven interest and ability to develop understanding;
Proven legal and business judgment with an orientation to finding solutions;
Excellent strategic and analytical skills;
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, meet stringent timelines, and handle multiple demands simultaneously;
Ability to work both independently and as a team player;
Excellent client relationship, communication and leadership skills and the ability to work with wide range of people with varying degrees of legal exposure;
Experience in training, educating and advising business partners on key legal topics required;
Strong results-oriented and strategic thinking abilities required. Demonstrated willingness to listen and learn and proven ability to make and respectfully explain proper decisions (even when this leads to tough business discussions) required;
Proven ability to provide outstanding legal services to, and interact with, a range of senior executives and strong interpersonal skills and excellent track record of collaboration with colleagues required;
Some travel may be required to support business needs.

A member of the Israel Bar Association.
