Backend Platform Engineer

The Platform team at our company is responsible for a production platform that handles hundreds of thousands to millions of requests per second with a strict response time limitation and high availability.
This is a critical system presenting endless infrastructure engineering challenges.
We run tens of thousands of nodes on a multi-region cloud environment, and we put a big emphasis on performance, efficiency, and FinOps.
Were looking for a strong and experienced Backend Platform Engineer with a strong passion for infrastructure and big data.
An ideal candidate is someone passionate, tech-savvy, and independent, who can identify and suggest potential points for improvement, who works well within a team and mentors team members.
What you'll do:
Design and implement our production infrastructure.
Independently identify points for improvement within our data infrastructure, from Backend components, to DevOps and visibility. Then pursue them using hands-on work and mentoring of team members.
Take responsibility for our production architecture: be able to understand, suggest improvements, monitor, and identify root causes and issues within it.
Help mentor and educate the team with knowledge and best practices.
Have a key impact on the performance of our entire system, reaching millions of users every second.
Help shape the team vision and culture, and take a lead role in pursuing it.
