We are enhancing our Computational Discovery unit by expanding our Data Science team and are looking for a skilled Data Scientist to lead the development and implementation of advanced algorithms and analytical tools.
The Data Scientist will play a key role in the development of our Computational Discovery analytics platform towards the in-silico identification of drug targets and novel biomarkers in immuno-oncology (IO). The Data Scientist will report to the Director, Head of Computational Discovery.
Develop, implement, and validate machine learning algorithms and statistical models to solve biological and technical challenges, extracting meaningful insights towards targets and biomarkers discovery in IO
Lead the identification, benchmarking, and implementation of advanced deep-learning and generative AI algorithms to advance the Computational Discovery analytics platform
Collaborate closely and routinely with computational scientists, biologists, and immunologists
Present, visualize, and communicate analytics results and scientific insights to internal and external collaborators

Requirements:
Advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.Sc.) in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field
Over 3 years of experience in data science research and development
Advanced programming skills (Python or R preferred)
Deep understanding of statistics and machine learning/deep learning algorithms
Experience in deploying deep learning and foundation models including Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI models
Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and visualize complex data
Ability to independently carry out research projects
A team player in a multidisciplinary environment
Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong collaborative skills, professionalism, and commitment
Advantages
Experience working with Large Language Models
Cloud-based data science experience (AWS preferred)
Experience with bulk and single-cell expression data, and spatial omics, drug discovery, or precision medicine
Cancer biology/immunology background
