This technology potentially allows patients to remain awake during treatment while reducing the need for highly invasive, risky, and costly mechanical ventilation systems that require intubation and medically induced coma.

Position summary

As a medical device company, we are committed to high standards and developing state of the art products.

We are looking for an experienced Biomedical Engineer to join our R&D team and work closely with the sensors project manager on multiple tasks/ projects as we make progress with HYLATM and additional sensors in an earlier stage of development.

This is a full-time position with an exciting variety of activities including research, data analysis and lab experiments (with blood).

Requirements:

Responsibilities

o Establish a direct blood measurement system, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and integration with existing technologies.

o Evaluate and procure off-the-shelf products, assessing their technical specifications, compliance, and suitability for system integration.

o Design and conduct experiments as part of sensor research, focusing on performance, functionality and optimization.

o Hands-on involvement in lab experiments, working with multidisciplinary equipment, including mechanics, fluid-flow systems,

controllers, electro-mechanics, and software.

o Perform active research by exploring new technologies and conducting literature reviews to assess the technical feasibility

and potential of new approaches.

o Prepare detailed documentation, including technical specifications, test protocols, and reports.

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanics, software, and other engineering disciplines, to integrate

and refine system performance.

Experience and Qualifications

o B.Sc. in Biomedical engineer with 2 years of experience from a medical device company or M.Sc. graduate

o Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics and systems – an advantage

o Knowledge in electrochemical sensor – an advantage

o Hands on experienced with a ‘wet’ R&D lab – MUST

o Strong technical capabilities (HW/SW/Mechanics) – A MUST

o Experience in programming language and data analysis (python)- MUST

o Self-starter & self-motivated with a “whatever it takes” attitude

o Peoples’ person & team player

o English in high level – A MUST
