We are looking for a proactive and autonomous person that can identify a path forward and execute on it, potentially building a new Big Data Team.A person who has both a passion for hands on development of distributed systems as well as loves solving complex problems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:
Be the go-to person for the Full Stack team regarding all Data Engineering issues while working closely with the Product, Development and Data Science Teams.
Identify needs while taking full ownership on projects & choosing the right technologies for the mission
Recruiting and leading a team from the ground up, working on the biggest challenges the industry faces.
Develop, test & deploy and fully own the end-to-end cycle
Design & adapt code to be scalable to process several petabytes of data

Requirements:
What you'll bring:
7+ years of industry experience in similar positions.
B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Experience in building microservices, object-oriented design and databases
Experience in using deployment & CI/CD tools such as AWS, K8s, Docker, Jenkins.
Experience with modern & high-level programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, Scala.
Curiosity with a willingness to experiment & learn.

Nice to have:
Experience working with Big Data technologies & Data pipelines such as spark, Hadoop, Airflow.
Experience as a Team Leader and passion for working with people and managing other Developers.
