Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Application and backend Development Manager to work closely with our 15-person mobile development team based in Ukraine.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality mobile applications across both IOS and Android platforms, along with a strong understanding of backend technologies and architecture. He/She will be responsible for managing the entire mobile development lifecycle, fostering collaboration within the distributed team, and ensuring that our mobile applications meet the highest standards of performance and User Experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire our Ukraine-based team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and direction on mobile application development, backend architecture, and best practices to both individual contributors and tech leads. Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of mobile projects across time zones, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders, often remotely, to define project requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions. Technology Evaluation: Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile and backend technologies, tools, and trends, and recommend adoption of new technologies that can enhance our products and processes. Performance Optimization: Monitor the performance, stability, and security of our mobile applications and backend systems, and implement optimizations to improve User Experience and efficiency. Recruitment and Training: Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities to existing team members, leveraging virtual tools and resources.

Qualifications Education:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
* 5+ years of hands-on experience in mobile application development ( IOS and/or Android).
* 3+ years of experience in backend development using relevant technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, JAVA).
* 2+ years of experience leading and managing geographically distributed development teams.
??Skills:
* Strong understanding of mobile application development frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter, Swift, Kotlin).
* Proficiency in backend technologies and frameworks.
* Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on remote collaboration.
* Proven ability to lead and motivate teams across different locations and time zones.
* Experience with agile development methodologies.
* Familiarity with mobile app stores and submission processes.
* Understanding of mobile analytics and user behavior tracking.
* Experience with security best practices for mobile applications and backend systems.
