Main Responsibilities:
Research and develop polymer materials and manufacturing processes, especially soft elastomeric materials, through rigorous scientific approaches.
Establish and maintain an efficient polymeric materials production process.
Researching and develop novel processes for production of polymeric materials such as: RF welding of elastomers, heat welding to combine flat elastomers sheets.
Design specifications including physical properties such as accuracy of dimensions and specific surface area.
B.Sc. in Polymer or materials Engineering.
At least 5 years of experience in designing multi-disciplinary combination products and mechanisms.
Proven design experience of soft elastomers such as RF welding of elastomers, heat welding combine flat elastomers sheets.
Mechanical Design of subunits including complicated final elements study for elastomers.
Experience with polymers definitions combination of chemical polymers using relevant SW tools.
Experience in conducting development tests, lab equipment, assembly, and external lab tests.
Basic Electronics / Arduino based fixtures - an advantage.
Familiarity with plastic injection/compression of silicone and plastic tooling for injection molding an advantage.
