As a Backend Team Lead, you will play a key role in helping Anchor scale. You'll work closely with product managers & full-stack team lead, drive outcomes, and contribute directly to the company’s mission and culture. RESPONSIBILITY
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of backend engineers.
Own and drive technical design and implementation of backend services in Go, using Postgres, Neo4j, NATS, RabbitMQ, and an event-driven architecture.
Split your time between hands-on coding and people leadership (about 50/50).
Identify your engineers’ needs and set them up for success.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, frontend, and other teams to deliver features smoothly.
Be proactive in spotting areas for improvement, whether in system reliability, scalability, or team processes.

REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience as a backend engineer, ideally in a web environment.
2+ years of experience leading R&D teams (backend focus preferred).
Solid understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
High level of ownership, organization, and attention to detail.
Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn (and teach of course).
