The Microbiology Department is responsible for ongoing production activities according to the production plan.

The role includes participation in the preparation of development files, which involves literature search, analysis of previous production batch files, and analytical tests.

Sterile bacteriological work / cell culture.

Preparation of bacteriological growth media.

Performing the complete fermentation process from strain growth through fermentation to harvesting.

Process control of fermentations using microscopy, OD, UV, HPLC, and SDS-PAGE.

Development of fermentation processes for products by transferring technology from other sites.

Writing and updating MMFs.

Preparing technology transfer reports.

Documenting the production process.

Managing production costs using SAP systems.

Signed production protocol (MMFs).

Signing development protocols and reports.

Requirements:

M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Microbiology or Biotechnology.

Fluent in English and Hebrew.

Professional Skills:

Experience – an advantage.

Knowledge in fermentation operations.

Knowledge of analytical methods such as microscopy, SDS-PAGE, and HPLC – an advantage.

Operation of large-volume fermenters – an advantage.

Understanding of drug development processes and technologies in the biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry – an advantage.

Experience working in a cGMP environment – an advantage.
