* Design, develop, and implement sophisticated localization algorithms to accurately determine the vehicle's position and orientation in real-time.
* Employ techniques such as sensor fusion, SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), and map-based localization to enhance accuracy and reliability.
* Work closely with the perception and control teams to integrate the localization module with other system components, ensuring seamless vehicle operation.
* Optimize algorithms for real-time performance on embedded systems, with a focus on computational efficiency and scalability.
* Conduct rigorous testing and validation of localization algorithms through simulation and real-world trials.
* Keep abreast of the latest advancements in localization technologies and methodologies, integrating innovative solutions to maintain and enhance system performance.
* Participate in cross-functional team discussions, contributing technical expertise to broader system architecture and design decisions.
* MSc or Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or related fields, with a strong focus on localization, sensor fusion, or related areas.
* Proven experience in developing and implementing localization algorithms (KF, EKF, BA, VO, VIO, PGO, etc.) for high-precision applications.
* Deep understanding of sensor fusion techniques and experience working with various sensors (IMU, GPS, LiDAR, cameras).
* Strong foundation in mathematical concepts relevant to localization and motion planning (SO3, SE3, linear/non-linear optimization).
* Relevant industry experience in autonomous vehicles or mobile robotics, with a focus on localization systems. Preferred Qualifications:
* Hands-on experience with advanced localization and mapping techniques, including SLAM and sensor fusion models.
* Familiarity with automotive or robotic sensor technologies and their integration for localization purposes.
* Proficiency in C++ programming, with experience in developing efficient, real-time systems.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced R&D environment, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
