Job Description

Primary purpose of the position

This role is responsible for supporting Indirect Procurement activities related to Logistics and IT. Such responsibility includes collaborating with TAPI's relevant stakeholders e.g. Global Logistics towards the creation and implementation of the relevant category strategies, category management, supplier sourcing and management, contract negotiations, risk management, stakeholder engagement and ongoing continuous improvement activities. This role strives to generate and deliver ongoing value through year-over-year savings, to maintain excellent customer satisfaction and to ensure the supply of required goods & services for TAPI.

General duties and responsibilities

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute global Indirect Procurement strategy for the categories under its responsibility, namely IT and Logistics and other professional services.
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with the relevant TAPI stakeholders.
Manage supplier relationships (SRM) for all suppliers under its responsibility.
Accountable to achieve Indirect categories objectives – most notably for savings generation, supplier risk management and uninterrupted plant operations and services.
Conduct supply market research to provide category intelligence and benchmarks on industry dynamics, trends and best practices.
Source the right suppliers to support and deliver business needs.
Lead supplier negotiations and contracting, including management of tender and bids.

Qualifications

Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Law is an advantage (not mandatory) and preferably an MBA
Understanding of Industrial manufacturing environment is highly desirable
Experience Required: 4-5 years of indirect procurement management experience preferably in a large industrial company
Functional Skills:
A team player with capability to influence stakeholders while working in cross functional teams.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal – the ability to gain senior leadership support.
Strong Interpersonal/Relationship Management Skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to work in a dynamic and demanding work environment.
Strategic mindset with demonstrable capabilities of executing assignments in Indirect Procurement.
Language requirements: Proficiency with spoken and written English
Travel Requirements – Minimal
