DevOps & Lab Systems Engineer

About the Role

Allot is looking for an experienced DevOps & Lab Systems Engineer to support our R&D on-premises lab operations. The role focuses on system administration, networking, and infrastructure management while ensuring our engineering teams have reliable, secure, and efficient lab environments.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain servers (Linux and Windows), virtualization platforms, and storage in the R&D lab.
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot networking equipment (switches, VLANs, VPNs, routing, firewalls).
Handle hardware lifecycle including racking, cabling, RAID setup, and monitoring.
Provide technical support to R&D teams using the lab for development and testing.
Maintain system stability, backups, and security across lab infrastructure.
Assist with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) when required for lab operations.
Support automation tasks using tools such as Ansible or Terraform under the guidance of the DevOps team.

Requirements:

Must-Have:

3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure or system administration.
Strong Linux administration and Windows support skills.
Solid networking knowledge (switching, VLANs, VPNs, routing).
Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, Proxmox, or similar).
Familiarity with storage systems, backups, and monitoring tools.
hands-on with containers (Docker/Kubernetes).
Understanding of CI/CD workflows.
Scripting ability (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
