Senior Backend Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer with deep Data Engineering expertise to join Sedric in building next-generation, AI-powered financial products. You'll architect robust data pipelines, design scalable data systems, and work directly with leading global financial institutions as they adopt cutting-edge AI solutions.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in backend development with a minimum of 3 years in data engineering.
Strong proficiency in Python with experience in data processing frameworks (Advantage if you have experience with data processing frameworks).
Deep expertise in database systems: PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, S3, and Snowflake, including optimization and schema design.
Hands-on experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or AWS Step Functions).
Experience with AWS infrastructure, including Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, etc.

Bonus Qualifications:

Experience with streaming data platforms.
Familiarity with data governance and compliance.
Experience with IaC frameworks such as CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform.

What You’ll Do:

Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and backend systems that process and analyze large volumes of financial data, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Build and optimize data orchestration workflows to support real-time and batch processing needs.
Create optimized data models and schemas across PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and NoSQL systems that accelerate ML model training, reduce analytics query times, and customer-facing applications.
Implement data quality monitoring and validation frameworks to ensure data integrity across pipelines.
Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
