Security Researcher- Red Team & Adversarial Research - Israel Remote

Join our Adversarial Threat Research Team!

As a Researcher will be a member of Akamai's Threat Research team. You'll be responsible for maintaining the defensive protections of Web Application & Bot Management security products. Our products leverage Akamai's big data platform, storing petabytes from up to 30% of Internet traffic.

Shape internet security

As a Security Researcher, you'll simulate advanced adversaries to test our security products, impacting many customers.
You will be able to deepen knowledge of the web application security field, web architecture, and protocols.
Your findings will shape our product roadmap, impacting many customers and millions of clients each day.

As a Security Researcher, you will be responsible for:

Performing red team operations, threat-based evaluations, and new attack vectors on our security products
Identifying new standards and technologies that could impact our security products' accuracy
Conducting in-depth research on tools or services that aid threat actors to bypass our bot detection solutions
Producing detailed technical reports outlining findings and actionable recommendations

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

Have 3+ years of experience as a security researcher, with in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of web architecture, network protocols and web automation frameworks
Have proven experience in red teaming, reverse engineering, malware analysis and JavaScript deobfuscation
Have a deep understanding of the cybersecurity threat landscape, and the attacker's mindset
Have proven experience in web-related and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.)
Have a deep understanding of the cybersecurity threat landscape, and the attacker's mindset.
Have experience in data analysis
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
