Payroll Executive

Our client is well established and is now one of the leading boutique advisory and tax firms in Malta serving both local and international clients. The Company is now looking to expand its dynamic team of professionals within its Accounts team. Clients they service are varied and range from public and private entities, as well as voluntary organisations.

Job duties

Preparing and executing payroll services for a portfolio of clients including collection
of data through timesheets or extracting data through payroll software.
Supervising team member/s to ensure that client deadlines are being met and that
information supplied is correct
Determine tax obligations and liaise with tax department where required
Liaising with clients on all payroll related matters
Keeping abreast with any new regulations and driving and sharing such changes to
team member/s
Preparation and submission of all employment related documentation to government
or other entities on behalf of clients
FSS submissions to tax department
Handling of Employment licensing and permit application
Preparing special client reports as and when required

Essentially Primary Requirements

Knowledge of one or more payroll software tools
Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
Have proven work experience in a similar role of not less than 3 years
Holders of payroll and/or HR related qualifications will be given preference
Good organisational skills: ability to prioritise, meet strict deadlines,
follow up and multi-task
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Fluency in English is a must. Knowledge of Italian would be considered an asset
Honest and trustworthy individual
