Freightos is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead our bookkeeping team, and handle the accounting aspects of our global operations.

You’ll oversee the company’s day-to-day bookkeeping, including posting transactions and maintaining consolidated records across a group of companies.

Roles & Responsibilities

Lead a team of bookkeepers, review their work, provide guidance and support
Keep books (and not Harry Potter), maintaining accounts for the group’s companies: verify, reconcile, allocate, and post day-to-day transactions.
We’ve noticed that the month ends almost every month, so you’ll be responsible for completing the full monthly close process, through to Trial Balance.
Quarters end too, so you’ll assist in the preparation of quarterly-end close for audit, including prepaid and accrued expenses, accrued and deferred revenue, FA, InterCompany TP, institution payable and VAT proforma analysis, AP, AR, and everything else that is needed for the books to be ready for audit.
Our marketing team has a tendency to spend a lot, which means that you’ll oversee bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare and file monthly reports and payments to local authorities (VAT, tax deductions).
Review exchange rate differences and TB in various currencies.
Review on a monthly basis subsidiaries financial statements accuracy and differences.
Upload the TBs of other subsidiaries in the group, which use other financial systems.
Love accounts? Great - you’ll have significant involvement in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Requirements:

Basic qualifications:

At least 3+ years of experience in the full-cycle of accounting and bookkeeping
Experience in accounts payable and receivable, banks and credit cards, accounting journal entries, general ledger, inter-company accounts, fixed assets, reconciliations and multi-currency
Level 3 bookkeeper qualification or CPA
Experience leading a team as a chief accountant or accounting manager
Proficient in English and Hebrew (both written and verbal skills)
Experience using ERP accounting systems and platforms
Proficient in Excel
Strong organizational skills, analytics, speed, accuracy, excellent customer service, and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize, as well as working within deadlines
Ability to analyze information and suggest solutions
Flexibility, ability to adapt to changing working hours as needed

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in a hi-tech or start-up environment
Experience in Netsuite ERP
