Overview:

USAID’s Momentum Country and Global Leadership (MCGL) award is a five-year USAID funded global award, that works in tandem with country governments and local nongovernmental organizations to provide targeted technical and capacity development assistance, and contribute to the global technical leadership and policy dialogue on improving measurable outcomes for maternal, reproductive, newborn and child health, and voluntary family planning.

MCGL seeks a Cleaner to assist with office for an upcoming USAID program in East Jerusalem, the East Jerusalem Hospital Network (EJHN). EJHN comprises six non-profit, charitable hospitals that have a long history of providing services to patients from East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza hospitals in East Jerusalem. The EJHN program will support hospitals within the network to diversify income streams and improve quality of services for patients from the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem. This position reports to the Admin Officer.

Responsibilities:
Cleaning the offices, toilets and common areas daily and maintaining general cleanliness during office hours.
Ensuring the kitchen is well maintained – clean and neat; arranging the cupboards and maintaining clean kitchen towels.
Assisting in making prints, photocopies of documents, letters, memos, training materials and assisting with other copying/printing needs.
Binding photocopied documents as necessary.
Setting up of the office conference room as well as refreshments for meetings as required.
Assisting as receptionist when necessary: Answer the telephone, forwards calls, provide phone assistance for outgoing calls ensuring messages are taking clearly and accurately. Receive visitors and direct them as necessary. Maintaining reception area.
Assisting with garbage collection and disposal.
Maintaining office furniture, refrigerator, equipment and kitchen utensils clean and functional and ask for maintenance/repair if needed.
Collect/buy snacks/lunch from shops/restaurants.
Assisting other staff members with tasks as needed.
Assume other responsibilities, as assigned by the supervisor that ensure smooth functioning of the office.
Required Qualifications:
Secondary school education.
Able to communicate in English
Minimum three years’ experience providing general cleaning services and refreshments in an office setting.
