About this opportunity

Align Technology ATE team is looking for a highly creative Sr Software Tech Lead to develop automated test equipment for medical product production. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on Python programming for hardware interface solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, scalable, and efficient testing systems that meet stringent medical industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will…
Development of automated test equipment software, with hardware\Optics\Algo integration.
Drive technical decisions and mentor team members on best practices in software development.
Collaborate with hardware engineers and production teams to deliver reliable and compliant solutions.
Explore and adopt new technologies to enhance testing capabilities and efficiency.
Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

In this role, you’ll need …
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
8+ years of software development experience, with a strong focus on Python.
Object-Oriented Design and Development.
Hardware-software integration.
Leadership and team collaboration.
Strong communication skills.
Proven experience in Object-Oriented Development-advantage.
Familiarity with hardware interfaces and automated testing systems -advantage
Experience in regulated environments (medical devices or similar) is a plus.
A willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving requirements.
Strong problem-solving skills and creativity in developing innovative solutions.
