What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Backend Engineer for our Singularity Data Lake (SDL) team, building towards autonomous SIEM. Helping SOC analysts achieve cybersecurity outcomes with greater accuracy and speed, The SDL engineering team solves non-trivial scale and data problems with a unique blending of cloud, distributed systems, and software optimization techniques and services. What You Will Do?

Code Review:
Check code for quality, test coverage, and security.
Technical Specifications:
Assist in building and reviewing technical specifications.
Document trade-offs in different solutions and implementations.
Document important details about implementation and data structures.
Provide feedback on other specifications.
Software Development:
Implement solutions based on existing specifications.
Write tests for new code or to address issues.
Fix bugs and security issues.
Support/On-Call Rotation:
Respond to and troubleshoot outage incidents.
Fix newly identified security issues.
Teamwork:
Attend weekly team sync meetings and weekly meetings with the SRE team.
Provide daily updates in Slack.
What experience and knowledge should you bring?
Technologies:
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Experience with designing and operating distributed systems at a reasonable scale.
Education/Experience:
Experience with Java.
Familiarity with other programming or scripting languages.
Cloud/Operational Environments:
Understanding of Kubernetes.
Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Tools/Packages:
Knowledge of Jenkins or Ansible or Docker.
