DevOps Team Lead

*Position Overview*

We are looking for driven, curious people who like to learn whatever necessary to create new features, who want to make an impact and be a part of a high paced development team. Our stack consists of Python, React, Redux, React Native, GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and more, but what matters most is attitude – if you love creating new features, care about building an excellent product that gives good service to people and you are willing to learn whatever necessary to do so – you belong with us.

*Key Responsibilities*

* This is a hands-on leadership role, you'll split your time roughly 50/50 between people management and technical execution (writing code, owning architecture, being in the weeds).
* Hire, manage, and grow a team of DevOps/SRE engineers — own their performance, career development, and day-to-day wellbeing
* Drive architectural decisions for platform primitives, evaluate trade-offs and build consensus across engineering teams
* Mentor and grow DevOps engineers, pair programming, code reviews, and shaping engineering culture
* Own reliability standards: define SLOs, lead blameless postmortems, and drive systemic improvements
* Manage the Kubernetes (GKE) control plane and cluster-level primitives
* Own infrastructure-as-code standards (Terraform, Helm) and enforce GitOps practices across the org
* Build and maintain the observability platform, structured logging, metrics pipelines, alerting, and SLOs
* Data infrastructure: pipelines and embedding stores as infrastructure services

*Qualifications*

*Required:*

* 10+ years across DevOps, platform, SRE, or infrastructure roles, including 4+ years managing engineering teams
* Strong Kubernetes expertise, cluster administration, operators, admission controllers, networking
* Experience building developer tooling or internal platforms (CLIs, service catalogs, self-service portals)
* Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform; GitOps with ArgoCD or Flux
* Deep understanding of CI/CD systems and how to design pipelines as a platform primitive
* Proficiency with GCP (GKE, Cloud Run, Vertex AI, IAM, VPC, Secret Manager)
* Software engineering skills in Go, Python, or TypeScript — platform work requires writing real code

*Preferred:*

* Experience in a healthcare or regulated environment (HIPAA, SOC2)
* On-call leadership and incident command experience
