Role Overview



We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who will also own and drive our build systems and CI workflows. This role sits within the Core Engineering team, and works closely with R&D and other groups to improve developer experience, testing, and release quality.

What You’ll Do

Lead the development and optimization of our build pipelines (Bazel, SWC).
Drive migrations and maintenance of our monorepos (eg. Lerna PNPM).
Manage and evolve CI workflows (GitHub Actions).
Collaborate with engineers to improve code quality, testing strategies, and release practices.
Support developer environments and tooling.
Troubleshoot and resolve build and deployment issues quickly and effectively.
Contribute to backend product development and architecture decisions.

You Bring

Deep knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js, and modern backend architectures.
Proven experience with build tools (Bazel, SWC, etc.).
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, versioning, and release management.
Experience with monorepo tools (Lerna, NX, PNPM).
Hands-on with Docker and containerized builds.
A performance-first mindset with strong debugging and optimization skills.
Bonus: Familiarity with NestJS, Kafka, and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
