Depot Equipments Design Leader

PURPOSE OF THE JOB Design Leader (Senior Design Engineer) HN Project execution: Performing the DEQ basic and detailed engineering activities. Responsible for the QCD (Quality, Cost and Delivery) performance delivered to her/his scope of work. Reporting of the design performance and of providing the Return of Experience to her/his scope of work. ORGANISATION Organization structure (job belongs to..) DEQ Field Operations supervisors (Installation, Test & Commissioning) Support functions External Sub-Contractors Suppliers Customers Key accountabilities Responsible for the basic engineering activities (validation or production according to the context): Technical specifications, functional specifications, interfaces specifications, calculation notes. Responsible to produce the detailed design of the specialties defined: equipment specifications, factory test procedure (FAT), technical drawings, installation drawings, site test procedure (SAT), bill of quantities (BOQ), etc. In case of projects, responsible to produce As-built documents of the DEQ after on-site activities and based on the on-site reporting. Responsible for the coordination of the design activities: with all the DEQ design team mobilized on the project, with the engineering team of other Sub-Systems, with transversal engineering teams (earthing and bonding, etc.), with the field operations supervisors (installation, test & commissioning), with RAMS, Cybersecurity, and other project requirements that have to be taken into account at design phase. In project execution or product/solution development, responsible for the QCD reporting and REX of her/his scope of work. In tender execution or product/solution business plan, responsible for the commitments on Design costings and workloads of her/his scope of work. Responsible for the respect of processes defined at management level: Engineering Management Plan, requirements management, configuration change management, risks management, interfaces management, etc. Responsible for the respect of applicable regulations and standards in the design of the DEQ solution. Responsible for the respect of Alstom Policies in the design of the DEQ solution. Responsible for the design of rolling stock maintenance equipment and machinery within the depot, ensuring compliance with functional, safety, and operational requirements. Engages with internal and external stakeholders to gather input and feedback on design specifications and requirements.” Performance measurements On-time delivery (OTD kpi) Work Package commitment compliance for her/his perimeter (variation orders excluded) Respect of Design For Quality (DFQ) milestones: 100% Go On Time Respect of performances of the system designed MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES Educational Requirements Mandatory Graduate from Engineering school in mechanics &/or electrical science Desirable Railway certification Experience Mandatory Engineering background on the DEQ, with a minimum of 3 years of experience Desirable Products and solutions knowledge Engineering product development full lifecycle view Competencies & Skills Communication skills Interpersonal skills (teamwork and leadership) Decision-making ability Analytical and critical thinking Problem-solving ability Very high level of English The position is located in northern Israel.
