For a new startup initiative: Technical Customer Lead / Senior FAE - UAV Communication

The Role:

We are looking for a Technical Customer Lead / Senior Solutions Engineer to serve as the technical bridge between customers, Product Management, and R&D.

More than a traditional FAE role, this position owns the technical customer journey from early evaluation and field validation through successful deployment, while serving as a key feedback channel into Product and R&D.

This is a highly hands-on role combining technical pre-sales, field engineering, customer trials, system integration, and product validation. You will work directly with customers, partners, and integrators worldwide while helping drive product readiness and commercial success.

Responsibilities

Lead customer trials, POCs, and field deployments worldwide.
Act as the primary technical focal point for customers, partners, and integrators.
Provide technical pre-sales support, including solution design, system integration, and deployment planning.
Work closely with Product and R&D teams to drive product readiness and resolve integration challenges.
Translate customer and field feedback into clear engineering requirements and product improvements.
Troubleshoot RF, wireless, networking, and system-level issues in lab and field environments.
Develop and maintain validation scripts, test tools, and technical documentation.
Train customers, partners, and integrators on solution deployment and operation.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience as an FAE, Solutions Engineer, Systems Engineer, Technical Account Manager, or similar customer-facing technical role.
Strong background in wireless communications, RF systems, telecom, networking, UAV, defense communications, or related industries.
Experience leading customer trials, pilots, or proof-of-concept projects.
Solid understanding of IP networking, Linux environments, and system integration.
Hands-on scripting experience (Python and/or Bash).
Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
Ability to work effectively across customers, Product Management, and Engineering teams.
Willingness to travel internationally as required.

Advantage:

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar.
Experience with UAV, drone, or defense communication systems.
Familiarity with MAVLink, PX4, ArduPilot, or related UAV technologies.
Embedded Linux debugging experience.
Experience with GitLab, GitHub, CI/CD, or automated testing environments.
Startup or early-stage product experience.
