Finance Analyst

IsraAID is a non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian aid agency dedicated to supporting populations in crisis around the world. Currently operating in 15 countries, the organization’s headquarters is based in Tel Aviv.
IsraAID’s HQ leads the organization’s global activities and provides oversight, guidance, and support to country offices and projects worldwide.
The Finance Analyst role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health and strategic planning of Israel’s leading humanitarian aid organization, and a rising player in international development.

Main Scope of Work:

The Finance Analyst plays a key role in monitoring financial performance across IsraAID’s global operations. This includes supporting budget development, conducting financial analysis, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements, and providing data-driven insights to aid decision-making. The position reports to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and works in close coordination with the Regional Director and regional teams.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Budgeting and Planning

Support Country Directors, Heads of Mission, and finance teams with the preparation and analysis of budgets
Contribute financial insights to ensure strategic alignment with program goals and funding needs

Financial Monitoring and Analysis

Assist country finance teams with financial reporting and record review
Produce and validate Budget vs. Actual (BvA) reports
Monitor program spending to flag over/under-spending
Analyze monthly and quarterly financial results and trends across country offices
Ensure compliance with donor requirements and internal financial procedures
Create and maintain financial models to support long-term planning
Present analysis and findings to the FP&A Director

Other Responsibilities

Contribute to the development of internal financial templates and tools
Support country offices during audits
Manage transactions within the ERP system

The Finance Analyst operates within a matrix structure—reporting to the FP&A Director and working as an integral part of the Regional Desk, in close coordination with the Regional Director. Due to the dynamic nature of the organization, the candidate may be asked to take on additional tasks as needed.

Requirements:

University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
High proficiency in MS Excel
Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the nonprofit or international development sector
Experience working with financial ERP systems (advantage)
International experience or exposure (advantage)
Willingness to travel internationally as needed
