Overview
We’re hiring a Senior Content & Brand Voice Strategist to shape the voice and storytelling of a fast-growing legal tech startup. As the team that powers law firms like Marble Law, Flare is redefining what legal services can look and feel like—and we’re looking for a strategic communicator who can bring that mission to life through thoughtful, human-centered content.
This is a role for a strong editorial thinker and doer; someone who understands the power of words and knows how to wield them across touchpoints. You’ll lead brand voice development, oversee copy across the lifecycle, and collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Growth, Operations, Sales, Finance, and Compliance to ensure every message is accurate, aligned, and impactful.
What you'll do
Own brand voice strategy, shaping and maintaining a clear, confident, and empathetic tone across all channels—from landing pages and emails to Meta Ads, PR, and more
Develop content across the full customer journey, including onboarding flows, nurture sequences, educational content, and product announcements
Write copy for web, email, SMS, in-product messaging, and blog, adapting tone and format to fit each channel
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Growth, Operations, Sales, Finance, and Compliance teams to align messaging with user needs, regulatory requirements, and business goals
Coordinate across time zones, working with distributed teams to gather input, secure approvals, and maintain smooth project workflows
Run final QA on all messaging and creative to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with legal and brand guidelines
Launch and optimize messaging experiments, including A/B tests and performance-driven content iterations
Support GEO/SEO and paid acquisition efforts with content strategies that elevate visibility while preserving brand integrity
Maintain and evolve brand voice documentation, training new team members and ensuring consistency across departments
Requirements:
A sharp, confident creative with deep editorial instincts and a passion for thoughtful storytelling
Skilled at turning complex or sensitive information into clear, engaging, and trustworthy copy
Experienced in brand voice development, content strategy, and cross-channel messaging
Collaborative and diplomatic—able to manage input and feedback from multiple stakeholders while keeping projects on track
Meticulous about QA, tone consistency, and the finer points of grammar and clarity
Flexible and calm in a fast-paced, startup environment, with experience navigating legal/compliance review processes
Preferred Qualifications:
7+ years in content strategy, brand writing, or editorial roles, ideally within tech, legal, or consumer service brands
Experience writing for regulated industries or working alongside legal/compliance teams
A portfolio that showcases voice-forward content across digital channels
Familiarity with tools like Braze, Salesforce, Builder.io, Storyblok, and project management platforms (e.g., Asana, Notion)
Experience working in distributed teams and across time zones
