Wireless Connectivity Power Architect

Job Description

Intel’s wireless communication products are leading the market with the latest standards, state of the art performance features and mechanisms.

As a wireless connectivity power architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing power management solutions for WiFi and Bluetooth-enabled devices. You will conduct detailed power analysis, modelling, and estimation to identify areas for improvement and guide design decisions throughout the product development lifecycle. Additionally, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers, to ensure efficient power utilization without compromising performance or user experience. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of power management techniques, system architecture, and wireless communication protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct power consumption analysis modeling, estimation and optimization at both hardware and software levels.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize power consumption while maintaining high performance and reliability across various wireless connectivity protocols.
3. Design and architect power management solutions for WiFi and Bluetooth modules in embedded systems.
4. Collaborate with hardware engineers to define power management requirements and constraints for new product designs.
5. Work closely with software developers to implement power-saving algorithms and optimize device drivers.
6. Develop and maintain power management firmware/software for WiFi and Bluetooth modules.
7. Perform system-level testing and validation to ensure power management solutions meet performance and reliability requirements.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in wireless communication technologies and power management techniques.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in system architecture and system integration.
Strong understanding of wireless communication protocols such as IEEE 802.11 (WiFi) and Bluetooth - advantage.
Experience with power analysis tools and techniques.
Familiarity with hardware design principles and PCB layout considerations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
