Intel Client Connectivity Division is dedicated to providing cutting edge client technologies of Thunderbolt and Ethernet solutions.

Thunderbolt is computer port delivering two 4K displays, fast data, and quick notebook charging.

Computer ports with Thunderbolt provide 40Gbps - double the speed of the previous generation, USB 3.1 10Gbps, and DisplayPort 1.4. For the first time, one computer port connects to Thunderbolt devices, every display, and billions of USB devices. In Thunderbolt mode, a single cable now provides four times the data and twice the video bandwidth of any other cable, while supplying power.

We are looking for a passionate student to join our Thunderbolt DisplayPort Firmware team. As a member of this team, you'll be responsible to develop, enhance and deploy firmware for Intel Thunderbolt 5 and USB4 Products, using all the latest firmware development methodologies and tools.

Qualifications

Pursuing BSc degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent.
Strong programming skill in C language knowledge of Microprocessors and computer architecture
Knowledge with HW description languages / Verilog is an advantage
Familiarity with version control (Git)
Some experience in python
Knowledge with Linux
Available for 20 hours weekly

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
