Job Description

As a Senior Engineer at Applitools, you will play a key role in the R&D team, which is central to our product’s success. You will participate in developing our programmatic API (SDK) – the critical interface between our users, their test frameworks, and our backend services. This senior engineering role is perfect for an engineer who thrives on solving challenging technical problems and shaping innovative solutions.

Development and maintenance of a large number of SDK’s

Working with complex JavaScript libraries that interface with test frameworks, user applications, and server APIs.

Design APIs and protocols with a focus on asynchronous flows and performance optimization.

Research and integrate with popular test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Puppeteer, WebDriver.io, Selenium, TestCafe, Mocha, Jest).

Innovate with browser and DOM hacking using Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP) and WebDriver.

Qualifications

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science or a related engineering field from a recognized institution.

5+ years of experience delivering impactful and complex software projects.

Advanced expertise in JavaScript.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in Node.js, NPM, and TypeScript.

Familiarity with test automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

Deep understanding of browser internals (DOM, rendering, caching, etc.).

Passion for DevOps, DevEx, and Developer Testing.

Contributions to open-source projects, including collaboration with the community.
