Project Manager (Part-Time, Outsourced) – China Operations Setup

Overview

ACS Motion Control is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the establishment of a new operational activity in China. This is a part-time outsourced position (2-3 days per week) for an expected duration of 12-18 months.

The Project Manager will work closely with the China Operations Manager and serve as the main interface between the China team and ACS headquarters in Israel, ensuring alignment, process implementation, and successful deployment of the new operating model.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the setup and ramp-up of the China operation.
• Develop and drive the project plan, milestones, and execution roadmap.
• Coordinate activities between China and Israel teams.
• Define and implement operational and Engineering processes, including supply chain, manufacturing, planning, engineering support, and reporting.
• Establish roles, responsibilities, and interfaces between China and Israel.
• Identify risks, resolve issues, and ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Work with Operations, Engineering, IT, and other stakeholders to support the new organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading operational setup, transfer, or business establishment projects.
• Senior operations background (VP Operations, Operations Director, Supply Chain Director, General Manager, or equivalent).
• Experience in electronics manufacturing and supply chain environments.
• Strong project management, stakeholder management, and execution skills.
• Ability to work effectively across functions, cultures, and geographies.
• Experience working with China-based operations is an advantage.

Engagement Model

• Outsourced / Contract-based role.
• 2-3 days per week.
• 12-18 month project.
• Quarterly travel to China, with additional travel as required.

Reporting

Reports directly to the COO and works closely with the China Operations Manager, VP Operations, Engineering, IT, and other key stakeholders.

Objective

• Establish and stabilize a scalable and efficient operational framework in China, fully integrated with ACS global operations.
