Sayata is the leading marketplace for brokers to obtain insurance for their SMB clients. Sayata is upending a massive industry (over $100B in the US alone) by creating a product with a superior user experience. And the market has responded. Since launching in early 2020, we’ve seen rapid growth, emerging as the market leader in digital insurance distribution. Recently, Sayata launched its AI based service for insurance carriers - the Sayata Risk Engine, aimed to revolutionize the insurance industry once more.

What’s the role?

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work as part of an awesome team of developers, lead decision-making and design of APIs, mechanisms, and abstractions using cutting-edge technologies, tackle tough problems and find creative ways to solve them, all while delivering great products from UI to DB. Since we’re a growing startup, you’ll significantly impact tech and product decisions.

We are also looking for potential future team leaders, to motivate and coach the team members, lead technical decision making, maintain high quality deliveries, while also spending significant time doing hands-on coding. You will work closely with the Product Team, owning the success of the team’s product line.

Requirements:

6+ years of relevant experience as a software developer (in SaaS - an advantage)
3+ years of server-side experience (with Python - a major advantage)
Experience in React or other modern Frontend development framework
Experience in AWS services or other major cloud provider
Have high standards for code quality, testing and performance
Strong knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases
BSc. in Computer Science or equivalent

Advantage:

2+ years of relevant experience as a software team leader or Scrum Master
Experience with CI/CD practices and tools (such as Jenkins)
Proven knowledge of software design and scalable web architecture in production
Familiarity with the Insurtech/insurance industry
Experience in Cyber Security
Experience with Agile methodologies
