An amazing AI ML Healthcare startup is looking for an Applied Data Scientist / Researcher to drive innovation in electronic health records (EHR) solutions for large hospitals in the USA.
You will join a highly skilled, compact "commando" R&D team, focusing on Text-based artificial intelligence, advanced NLP, and LLMs
In this hands-on, non-managerial role, you will take end-to-end ownership of your algorithmic pipelines, dedicating your time to approximately 50% model development, 30% data engineering, and 20% integration/MLOps
You will research and solve complex ML challenges, design novel LLM models for real-time clinical setups, and bring these models directly to production, acting as your own data engineer
Additionally, you will serve as a strong technical counterpart, engaging in deep brainstorming with fellow researchers and engineers on model selection, data pipelines, and integration strategies

MSc or PhD degree in Computer Science, EE, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
5+ years of experience in applied R&D, with a deep understanding of modern NLP architectures, Transformers, and Deep Learning.
Hands-on experience working with and fine-tuning LLMs for downstream tasks on unstructured text data.
Proven experience optimizing and deploying ML models to production, taking full responsibility for data harvesting, pipeline creation, and integration.
Expert-level proficiency in Python and relevant machine learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch, Hugging Face).
Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps tools for model lifecycle management and CI/CD.
Strong software engineering fundamentals with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
Highly creative, "handy" problem solver, and an excellent team player who is open to discussions and joint brainstorming.
