Corporate Investments Manager

Unit description:

ICL’s Corporate Development is responsible for creating, developing and executing on the company’s long-term strategy through M&A, investments, divestitures, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives.
The investment arm named ICL Planet Startup Hub is directly investing in startups that have strategic value to ICL’s business growth as well as creating new ventures based on spun off technologies that were invented by ICL.

What will your responsibilities be?

This role is instrumental in sourcing, lead generation, evaluating, and executing corporate venture investments, as well as following up on existing portfolio and the ongoing strategic collaboration.
You will play a critical role in generating pipeline, analyzing investment opportunities, leading due diligence processes, conducting market research, and strategic collaborations.
Market & Industry Analysis
- Conduct in-depth market research on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for investment.
Investment Sourcing & Deal Flow Management
- Pipeline generation & screening: Identify and evaluate startups, emerging technologies, and investment opportunities that align with ICL’s strategic priorities.
- Develop and manage relationships with founders, VCs, accelerators, and industry partners to ensure strong deal flow.
Investment Process & Due Diligence
- Critically evaluate investment opportunities from strategic, technical, and financial perspectives.
- Conduct financial analysis, modeling, and valuation (including business plan assessment, cash flow analysis, CAP tables, burn rate assessment, and runway calculations).
- Lead comprehensive due diligence on potential investments, covering market assessment, product and technology validation, competitive analysis, and business model viability.
- Prepare investment reports, portfolio analysis, and executive presentations to support decision-making at the leadership level.
Venture Creation
- Conduct early-stage validation, market assessment, and feasibility studies for potential venture creation projects.
- Support team to define venture strategy, storyline, and go-to-market execution.
- Conduct performance tracking, KPI monitoring, and periodic reporting on portfolio companies.
Strategic Contributions & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with ICL’s Corporate Development, Business, and R&D teams to align investments with ICL’s growth vision.

What are we looking for?

- 5+ years of experience in Venture Capital (VC), Corporate Venture Capital (CVC), Corporate Development, Technology Incubators, or Strategy/Investment roles.
- Deep understanding of startup dynamics, business models, and financial structures across early-stage tech ventures.
- Strong financial modeling skills, experience analyzing CAP tables, business plans, and investment structures.
- Experience with deal structuring, legal negotiations, and strategic partnership development.
- Expertise in market analysis, industry research, and competitive intelligence within relevant sectors.
- Knowledge of agriculture, food, industrial-tech, climate-tech, or adjacent domains is preferred.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners in a fast-paced, global environment.
