Contract length: 1 year, renewable on agreement

Workplace: University of Lausanne, NeuroRestore center (CHUV)

Your responsibilities

In the purpose of restoring voluntary movements after paralysis, the candidate will work on the design and optimization of a non-invasive electrical stimulation system to accurately control hand and finger movements. The candidate will use AI methods to calibrate the system and ensure reliable functionality while avoiding muscle fatigue. This technology will be driven by motor intentions decoded from brain activity.

Your qualifications
A PhD degree in Neuroscience, Neuroprosthetics or related field (required)
Communication skills in English (required), French is a bonus
Functional electrical stimulation experimental techniques, signal processing, programming in python (required)
Experience in deep learning methods (desired)
Scientific writing and interpersonal skills
