About the role
We are looking for our VP, Center of Excellence (COE).
In this multi-facet role, you will own everything around Sapiens COE, from developing the strategy and goals, the KPI’s, managing the resources, COE culture, to client’s satisfaction.

Reporting to: Senior VP R&D
Responsibilities
Strategy Development: You are responsible for developing the COE's strategy, objectives, and goals, in alignment with the organization's overall goals.
Resource Management and Talent Development: You oversee the allocation of resources, including budget, personnel, and technology, to support the COE's activities. This involves hiring and developing talent and ensuring that the COE has access to the necessary tools and technologies.
Leadership: You provide leadership and direction to the delivery team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. This involves coaching and mentoring and promoting a positive work environment.
Other aspects of the COE culture are:
- Continuous Improvement: constantly enhancing processes, streamlining operations, and delivering greater value to the organization by monitoring performance metrics, conducting regular reviews, and implementing changes as needed.
- Innovation: promoting innovation within the COE, encouraging experimentation, creativity, and the adoption of new ideas and technologies that can drive improvements and competitive advantage.
Quality Assurance: You ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and client requirements. This involves establishing quality assurance processes, conducting reviews and inspections, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Stakeholder Engagement: You serve as the primary point of contact between the COE and other stakeholders within the organization (department heads, and other teams that interact with or rely on the COE's services). Effective communication and relationship-building are key.
Governance and Compliance: You establish governance processes and ensure that the COE operates in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This involves defining policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as monitoring and reporting on compliance metrics.
Knowledge Management: You oversee the creation, documentation, and knowledge sharing that can benefit the organization as a whole. This includes best practices, lessons learned, and other intellectual assets.
Training and Development: You ensure that COE staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Performance Management: You establish performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the COE and its impact on the organization.
Change Management: You lead change management efforts related to the COE facilitating the adoption of new processes, technologies, or ways of working. This involves communication, stakeholder engagement, and overcoming resistance to change.
Issue Resolution: You identify and resolve issues that arise during project execution, whether they are related to resources, schedule, scope, or quality.
Client Relationship Management: You build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring that their needs are understood and addressed throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
10+ years' experience in a leadership role, with a focus on process optimization, best practices, or similar areas.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Experience with change management and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Familiarity with the insurance domain in which the COE operates and understanding of best practices and trends in insurance to the COE's focus.

Educational requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
