As the professional leader of sales in ZIM, the primary objective of the Head of Global Sales Operations is to lead the ZIM sales Strategy, Processes, Methodologies and Tools, in order to drive significant improvements in sales performance at ZIM. This role involves enhancing the skills, processes, routines, and methodologies within the sales teams globally. By focusing on these areas, the Head of Global Sales Operations aims to achieve better overall performance and results. This position requires a strategic approach to sales development, ensuring that best practices are identified and implemented across the sales units globally. Additionally, the role involves managing key performance indicators (KPIs), overseeing training programs, and ensuring effective communication within the sales teams.
Major areas of responsibility
Sales Methodologies, Processes and Tools Development
Developing, managing and monitoring methodologies, processes, KPIs, systems, tools, and training for all sales channels. Ensuring their implementation drives performance improvement and make sure that they meet ZIM’s sales force needs. This also includes leading the interfaces between Sales Operations & Regional Sales, Strategic Accounts & Direct Channels, BUs, IT teams and CS.
Key systems include: L2A, ZIMcompass, ZRM, Sales Targets (& Planalizer), ZIMcentive, and more
Commercial Excellence
Leading ZIM’s Sales Transformation strategy and implementing the Commercial Excellence program together with the Regional teams and BU’s
Training & Comms
Manage professional training for sales (new sales employee onboarding, experienced training, specific subject matter training etc.)
Manage skills training, together with the Leaning & Development team, to constantly improve the sales organization selling skills
Manage sales knowledge (portal, newsletter) and global communications to the sales teams
ZIMcentive + others
Own and manage the Global sales incentive program
Lead sales campaigns, and sales competitions Globally
Responsibility for consolidating global sales budget between the different units.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or a related field. An MBA is an advantage.
Proven management experience in managing and leading teams.
Experience in sales/ customers management and or sales operations, including defining and implementing sales processes and methodologies- at least 4 years.
Global Experience and in working with a multi-cultural environment.
Experience in matrix management and consulting companies is an advantage.
