Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and technically skilled Market Data Automation Specialist to join our small, dynamic team. This full-time position (Monday-Friday) will be pivotal in automating processes for verifying market data coverage and ensuring the accuracy of financial asset data.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with sales specialists and market data teams, playing a key role in improving efficiency by reducing manual efforts and providing accurate, timely data to support both internal teams and client-facing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaboration with Sales Specialists: Work alongside sales specialists to understand client needs, analyzing client data, and providing the best solutions tailored to their requirements.
Collaboration with Market Data Teams: Work with market data teams to confirm the extracted data and coverage, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Client Solutions: Generate sample files and conduct coverage checks to showcase product offerings, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
Effective Communication: Address any client queries or concerns promptly, maintaining a high level of service and professionalism.
Data Processing: Automate the process of verifying coverage for financial assets based on identifiers or descriptions from Excel files. Design and develop automated scripts using Python and VBA to check whether specific assets are covered, leveraging internal datasets and providing results with internal naming conventions.
Reporting & Documentation: Create output reports that clearly identify whether each asset is covered, and if so, the corresponding internal asset name. Provide detailed documentation of the automation processes for internal use.

Qualifications:

Deep Knowledge in Derivatives & Risk Management: Extensive understanding of derivatives, financial instruments, and risk management strategies is mandatory.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong experience with Python (preferably using libraries like Pandas for data analysis) and VBA for automating Excel processes.
Familiarity with APIs and their role in software integration is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills in data manipulation, analysis, and automation.
Experience with databases and SQL is an advantage.
Attention to Detail: Must be able to handle large volumes of data while ensuring accuracy and precision in every task.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.
Experience:
Proven experience in automating repetitive data processing tasks.
Experience in market data, financial derivatives, or risk management is highly desirable but not mandatory.
