Staff Researcher

Gong is a data driven AI company, providing value to sales organizations by collecting all content and interactions between salespeople and their prospects, and using models to drive both descriptive, predictive and prescriptive value to the sales teams.

Our data is big, but more than that, it is wide, as we collect all kinds of communications channels and content, to pull deep actionable insights.

AI at Gong has a high impact on the product, as we work closely with design partners in short feedback cycles to ensure the business value that our models bring in production.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll join the Predictive-Modeling pod, which is the arm of Gong-AI focused on ML over tabular data. The other 2 AI arms, speech & NLP translate the content of interactions into tabular insights that drive our models. Our team has all disciplines required for full cycle: data engineers, analysts, data science and product.

You will:

Build predictive and prescriptive models over our tabular data. You will own the r&d process e2e, from business questions through research to released models in production at scale. This includes close collaboration with product and hand-on coding to production.
Take ownership of the existing ML pipelines, building processes for improvements.
Continuously evolve and help others evolve professionally, through joint work and mentoring, contributing to weekly brainstorming sessions, and staying up-to-date with the latest ML developments.

You have:

Working experience with diverse predictive/prescriptive-models / AI over tabular data, such as, modeling propensity to upgrade, survival and churn analysis, time to event, recommendation engines including recent Deep Learning based methods.
Excellent business understanding and communication skills.
Deep understanding of statistics.
Intimate familiarity with a variety of ML disciplines and algorithms.
A PhD or Master degree in exact science fields with 5+ years of relevant experience in data analysis and machine learning research in the industry.

Advantageous if you have:

Familiarity with a variety of large scale data processing tools, and research environments.
Basin command of SQL.
