We are seeking a highly strategic and experienced UI/UX Design Director to shape the design vision and drive the user experience for our multi-asset trading platform. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the financial industry, coupled with a proven track record of creating exceptional user experiences for sophisticated trading applications. You will provide strategic direction, foster a culture of design excellence, and collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and senior leadership to ensure a cohesive and impactful user experience across our platforms.

Primary responsibilities (not limited to):

Strategic Design Leadership & Vision:

Establish and Champion UI/UX Strategy: Define and articulate a comprehensive UI/UX strategy that aligns with business objectives, user needs, and market trends within the financial sector.
Design Standards & Governance: Develop and maintain a robust design system, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency, scalability, and excellence across the trading platform.
Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and best practices in financial UI/UX.
Drive Innovation: Foster a culture of design innovation and experimentation, encouraging the team to explore new approaches and technologies.
Design Execution & Team Oversight:
Oversee Design Process: Provide strategic oversight of the entire design process, from user research and conceptualization to prototyping, visual design, and implementation.
Ensure Exceptional User Experiences: Champion the creation of intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for complex trading functionalities.
Design System Management: Ensure the ongoing development and maintenance of a comprehensive design system.
Team Development & Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to the design team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Design Quality Assurance: Ensure design deliverables meet high standards of quality and usability.
Collaboration & Communication:
Strategic Collaboration: Partner with product management, engineering, and senior leadership to align design strategy with business goals and product roadmaps.
Effective Communication: Clearly articulate design concepts, rationale, and strategic recommendations to cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
User Feedback Integration: Establish processes for gathering and incorporating user feedback to continuously improve the user experience.
Stakeholder Presentations: Confidently present design concepts and strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
Financial Industry Expertise:
Trading Workflow Expertise: Leverage deep understanding of trading workflows and financial markets to inform strategic design decisions.
Data Visualization: Translate complex financial data and concepts into clear, intuitive, and actionable visual representations.
Industry Best Practices: Ensure the platform adheres to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
User Segment Understanding: Demonstrate a nuanced understanding of the needs and behaviors of both professional and retail trading users.

Qualifications:

Extensive experience in designing and delivering successful trading applications within established financial institutions.
A strong portfolio demonstrating strategic design thinking, user research expertise, and exceptional visual design skills.
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools, including Figma and other prototyping software.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
Deep knowledge of financial market data and its effective display.
Experience leading or mentoring design teams.

Office Location: Central Bus/Train Station area, Jerusalem (Hybrid model - 3 days working from the office)
Hours: Full time 42.5 hours per week. (Monday-Friday for initial training period, with Friday as a shortened day.)
