Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician - 2nd Shift

What success looks like in this role:

The Network Operation Center Analyst is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the day-to-day operation of Client's Network environment.
Duties include maintenance and administration of network hardware, software and other related components.
2nd Shift Tuesday - Saturday 2pm -10pm MST

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Required Education/Experience:

A degree in an Information Technology field; or relevant work experience with a high school diploma with a current industry or technology certification is highly preferred.

The experience indicated above must be in networking in an enterprise environment for one or more of the following technologies:

Cisco Network Routing and Switching
Network Monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Cisco Wireless LAN controllers
Basic security appliance troubleshooting

Preferred Education/Experience :

Experience with Palo Alto or Cisco firewalls and network load balancers. Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and Nagios. Security+/ CCNA certification desired.

Job Qualifications and Key Information:

Support of network systems (software/hardware) and data center operations.
Serving as a technical liaison to both internal and external clients.
Assist in the provisioning of environmental, networking, security and computer systems specifically relating to network infrastructure.
Responding to client support inquiries in a timely fashion with an emphasis on being informative and helpful.
Learning/advancing technical skills in order to add value to the NOC.
Communicating and working with team members to coordinate efforts to support clients.
Monitoring and reporting any issues with critical environmental, networking, security, and server systems.
Communicating with other departments to assist in the execution of change management policies and procedures.
The ability to learn through research, technical certification, and on-the-job training.
The willingness to communicate and work in a team environment while maintaining the ability to be self-driven.
Strong written and oral communication skills. These are a must.
A working knowledge of Windows/Linux-based operating systems.
A working knowledge of network switching and routing concepts, specifically Cisco.
Strong trouble-shooting skills.
This may be in a hybrid in-office and remote position.
