WFP also lends its technical expertise to support national institutions by strengthening their capacities in responding to shocks and building an inclusive social safety net.To further strengthen the humanitarian-development-peace nexus, WFP is providing climate-smart agricultural assets such as hydroponics and wicking beds to households to increase their calorie intake and enable them to generate income. WFP also scaled up its resilience-building activities to include greenhouses, vegetable farms, sheep, poultry, and technical and vocational trainings for youth and people with disabilities. These projects reduce people’s vulnerability to external shocks, serve as a safety net, and support livelihoods.In response to the urgent needs of Palestine, where protracted conflict and economic stagnation have led to widespread food insecurity, WFP delivers life-saving food assistance to the most vulnerable non-refugee Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. To address the ongoing crisis, WFP also focuses on strengthening livelihoods through resilience-building projects such as climate-smart agriculture and vocational training. Additionally, WFP supports national institutions by enhancing their capacity to respond to shocks and build inclusive social safety nets. By extending its systems to humanitarian and development partners, WFP contributes to broader efforts within the humanitarian-development-peace nexus.This position will be based in Jerusalem and reports to the Senior Logistics AssociateKEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):Provide support to logistics operations and activities, following standard processes and facilitating, directly or indirectly,Using the correct budget codes, vendor details, quantities, contract rates and contract terms.Perform daily closing and balancing payments of receipts.Maintain and manage daily logs of invoice receipts and processed invoice in an organized matter.Ensure service providers submit their claim in a timely manner according to WFP corporate transport and logistics standards.Support oversight for billing data quality and integrityManage logistics vendors’ invoices including performance monitoring and measurement, supported by analysis and recommendations.Manage documentation processing for execution of logistics operations (e.g. customs clearance, invoice verification),Support reconciliation of data in country office and corporate systems to determine validity, ensure accuracy, and make follow-ups accordingly, in support to informed decision-making.Collect and compile data, produce and/or contribute to reports (e.g. financial closure, transport performance, invoice status).Supervise the work of support staff, providing practical advice and guidance, to ensure individual and team objectives are delivered to agreed standards and deadlines for all assistance modalities.Respond to a variety of technical queries/requests for support, following standard processes, and obtaining guidance as required,Liaise with internal and limited number of external stakeholders to support efficient funds management and invoice processing.Follow up on open items (POs) and coordinate with the relevant stakeholders to close unnecessary items.Perform other duties, as required by the supervisor.STANDARD MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Completion of BA degree in related functional area.Experience:Six or more years of progressively responsible work experience in the relative business stream.Language:Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Arabic.Please add a table to the 1st page of your CV with the following information;-Place of Residency-Company/ Organization Name-Position Title-Date from-toWFP LEADERSHIP FRAMEWORKWFP Leadership Framework guides to the common standards of behavior that guide HOW we work together to accomplish our mission.REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONWFP is dedicated to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
