Infrastructure Project Manager

We are seeking a junior to mid-level project manager who will be responsible for the project management of WorldQuant information technology projects.

Responsibilities Include:

Work closely with systems/software engineers and teams across the firm
Consult with users to understand and document business requirements and workflows
Tracking of technology requests, including maintaining a log of updates and clear target dates for completion
Expectation management and clear communication with the technology teams
Reporting of project progress and risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to the onboarding plan
Maintain traceability of functional specifications to requirements and objectives
Close collaboration with technology teams providing both product and project management support

Required Skills:

3-5 years of related professional project management experience
Experience in the financial services industry, preferably with technology related projects
Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both verbal and written)
Ability to understand the business workflow (across products/regions) and technology components at a deep enough level to identify and solve problems
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously within a tight time frame
Experience of specifying and writing user specifications and business requirements for development teams
Experience with development methodologies including waterfall or agile as well as expertise with tools including JIRA and Confluence
Strong understanding and working knowledge of key data principles
