Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities:

Manage daily bookkeeping activities up to the trial balance, including:
Supplier invoice processing
Supplier invoice processing
Bank reconciliations
Credit card statement handling
Payment processing
Assist with monthly and annual financial closings, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Prepare and process monthly payroll for all company employees
Maintain accurate employee attendance data and generate payroll-related reports
Submit and track statutory payments to Israeli authorities, including VAT, Bituach Leumi (National Insurance), and Income Tax
Conduct internal controls and reconciliations on payroll and accounting data
Serve as a point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and provide ongoing support
Ensure timely updates to the financial system and maintain up-to-date records

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience – mandatory
Payroll Certification – mandatory
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
High proficiency in English.
Advanced Excel skills.
Experience with “Michpal” software –an advantage
Solid understanding of Israeli labor laws and payroll regulations – an advantage.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics – an advantage.
